Day 2 at FIG European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships in Baku

The second day of the FIG European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships has started in Baku. Yesterday, junior qualifications to finals were held, as well as junior team championships (the winner is Russia). Today, senior qualifications and senior team championships take place.

The aerodance tournament opens the day. Later, the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku will see women individual exercises and trio format.

In the afternoon, men will compete in individual exercises. Later, mixed pairs and groups will qualify to finals.

As a result of all performances, best national teams participating in the European Championships will be awarded. The day ends at 5:45 p.m. with awarding winners of the team rating.

On May 26th, finals take place in all 12 categories (6 junior and 6 senior finals). The start is at 9:00 a.m.

The National Gymnastics Arena in Baku welcomes FIG European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships for the first time. Athletes from 22 countries participate in the tournament. Juniors and seniors perform in individual exercises among men and women, mixed pairs, trio and groups, aerodance, as well as aerostep – only for seniors. There will also be winners in junior and senior team ratings. Athletes will compete for 15 sets of medals.
