Only Syrians themselves have the right to decide whether or not the current president Bashar Assad should remain in power, UN Secretary General's special envoy on Syria Staffan de Mistura stated in an interview with France 24 TV channel.
"We believe that the right to address this issue belongs to Syrians themselves. Is it really impossible to give them the opportunity to make this decision themselves?" TASS quoted him as saying.
