An Iranian delegation headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari arrived at the Rixos President Astana hotel that hosts talks on the Syrian peace settlement in order to resume the negotiations.
Earlier, the UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura told reporters that the work was continuing.
Alexander Lavrentiev, the Russian envoy to Syria, who’s leading Russia’s delegation, said that the first day of the Syrian peace settlement talks in Kazakhstan’s capital of Astana was rather successful,m adding that at least, the Syrian government and the opposition looked into each other’s eyes and listened to each other’s speeches.
