Death of police officers in Almaty confirmed

Three police officers have been killed and seven more people in critical condition, Kazakhstan's Interior Ministry confirmed.

Local authorities also confirmed that one attacker was detained by police. Law enforcement officials are searching for a second attacker, Life reports.

Vestnik Kavkaza earlier reported that the highest of terror alerts has been declared in Almaty following an armed attack on police officers.
