The death toll in the militant attack on a mosque in Egypt's North Sinai has yesterday risen to 305 killed, including 27 children, and 128 more people were wounded, RTE.ie reports citing MENA state news agency.
Egypt has launched airstrikes against the militants they believe were responsible for the attack and vehicles used by the suspected gunmen were hit.
Fighters affiliated with the so-called Islamic State group have been carrying out attacks in the region.
