Decisive Israel-Hamas talks begin in Cairo

Today, Egypt will host talks between Israel and Hamas in the Red Sea city of Sharm el-Sheikh.

The talks will include discussions of the ground conditions and details of the exchange of all Israeli detainees and Palestinian prisoners.

Israel's delegation is led by Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, Haaretz reported.

The Hamas delegation is headed by Khalil Al-Hayya, Hamas’ chief negotiator.

These consultations come within the framework of efforts to build on the regional and international momentum achieved following the presentation of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan.
