Azerbaijan's defense minister, colonel-general Zakir Hasanov held bilateral talks with his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar in Gabala, the press service of Azerbaijan's Defense Minister reported.
Zakir Hasanov said that the military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey is based on friendly and fraternal relations, adding that these ties are developing and strengthening day by day. He underlined that friendly relations of the heads of state play an important role in developing ties between the two countries.
Hasanov stressed the necessity of holding such meetings in terms of expanding the cooperation. His Turkish counterpart also noted the importance of these meetings in enhancing Azerbaijan-Turkey ties.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of regional and mutual cooperation.
