A criminal case on charges of hooliganism has been launched in connection with the events which took place last night in Yerevan during a rally against the decision to raise electricity priced in Armenia, a source in the department said.
The police also confirmed that 237 protesters were taken to the territorial departments of the General Prosecutor’s Office. They are conveying materials on instances of hooliganism to local bodies of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, TASS reports.
