Azerbaijan is located at the intersection of the East and West and has been using effectively its geographical position for a long time, the Nobel Prize laureate for Economics, a professor at the Center for Advanced Studies on the Efficiency of the Economy of the Arizona State University, USA, Edward Prescott told during a round table on the topic ‘Sustainable development and ecological civilization’, held in the framework of the 5th Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
He noted that the development of the country is proceeding with a high speed, and Azerbaijan keeps step with the Western countries. The reason for this is the economic policy pursued in Azerbaijan, Prescott said, recalling that the financial crisis of 2002 - 2012 bypassed Azerbaijan.
