Syrian gymnast Dina Alshih Ali, who advanced into the finals of the exercises with a ball at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku, said in an interview with a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza that today she managed to perform better than at the qualifying competitions.
"Today I performed better, I tried to make the program without mistakes and scored two points more than in the qualification," she noted.
Dina Alshih Ali said that she has been doing gymnastics since she was 4 years old, but in recent years it has become very difficult to train in the country. "Three years ago the war broke out in Syria, and we trained not very well, because there was no electricity, which means that the trainings were without music. God grant that everything became good in Syria and we could train normally in Damascus, " the Syrian gymnast wished.
