Turkish airline SunExpress will begin operating scheduled flights on the Izmir-Tashkent route on August 1, Uzbekistan Airports announced.
Flights will operate four times a week using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The route will be the first direct connection between Tashkent and Izmir. SunExpress will become the third Turkish carrier serving Uzbekistan and is considering launching flights to airports in the Fergana Valley from early 2027.
