Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has held a meeting with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the sidelines of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit.
The meeting lasted nearly an hour. The Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and the Deputy Economic Development Minister Alexey Likhachev also took part in the talks from the Russian side.
According to the Russian government press service, Medvedev and Merkel "discussed the situation in Ukraine, the need for mutual compliance with the Minsk agreements."
They also discussed the trade and economic relations between Russia and the European Union and the prospects for their development, TASS reports.
