The dollar exchange rate surpassed 62 rubles during foreign currency trading on Moscow Exchange on Thursday for the first time since October 24, according to trading data.
As of 7:10 am Moscow time, the dollar exchange rate was up by 0.34% at 62.0075 rubles. By 7:30 am, the dollar exchange rate on Moscow Exchange narrowed gains to 0.31% trading at 61.99 rubles.
The dollar exchange rate against the ruble rose by 4.5 kopecks as Thursday trading opened on Moscow Exchange compared with the previous closing to 61.84 rubles. The euro exchange rate gained 7.75 kopecks to 61.08 rubles.
