Donald Trump ready to tighten sanctions against Russia - Keith Kellogg

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump considers sanctions against Russia insufficient and rates them "only about a three" on a scale of one to 10, U.S. special envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg said in an interview with The New York Post.

According to him, Washington considers the possibility of increasing restrictions on Russia’s energy sector.

"President Trump is prepared to increase U.S. sanctions for Russia to bring about an end to war on Ukraine," Keith Kellogg said.

The general said they could really increase the sanctions - especially the latest sanctions targeting oil production and exports.

“Solving the Russia-Ukraine war is really all hands on deck for the entire administration, so a whole-of-government approach,” Keith Kellogg said.
