Dow Jones index breaks nearly 120-year-old anti-record

Yesterday, at the end of trading on the stock exchange index, the Dow Jones (DJIA, Dow Jones Industrial Average) broke the anti-record of almost 120 years: for the first time in 119 years it dropped by more than 200 points over four days.

"In four sessions, the index lost 1682.29 points, which is the largest decline over the same time period with the worst week of the 2008 financial crisis. DJIA lost 1746.19 points during the period from October 6 to 9," RIA Novosti quotes the message of Marketwatch portal.
