Dvorkovich: Fall of ruble hasn't yet led to an excessive increase in food prices

Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich believes that the current fall of the national currency has not yet led to an unjustified increase in food prices. Prime Minister stated that a rise in food prices is inevitable, because Russia imports a certain amount. He noted that the existing growth "occurs in normal frameworks."

"The exchange rate is growing, since there is a certain share of imports, then, of course, there are such effects," RIA Novosti quotes Dvorkovich as saying.

Earlier, the Federal State Statistics Service published data showing that the increase in food prices in August slowed to 18.1% from 18.6% in July.
