Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich stated today that time is required for the full diversification of the Russian economy, which could show substantial results.
"Our long-term policy is to diversify our economy, and there are already success stories in automotive, pharmaceuticals and chemicals production. There is progress, but it takes time to reduce our dependence on oil," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Dvorkovich also stressed that the extension of anti-Russian sanctions is unreasonable. "They hit the European economy, not the US. Unfortunately, Europe is looking at what the United States is doing too much," the Deputy Prime Minister stated.
