Avalanches may occur in the mountains of Karachayevo-Cherkessia during the next 24 hours on January 12th, EMERCOM rescue officers inform.
According to them, avalanches may lead to emergency situations at the municipal level: "damage of federal and local motorways in the mountainous and foothill areas, cable cars, buildings, as well as communication and power lines."
In addition, if avalanches happen, then tourists may suffer beyond the ski area, Interfax reports.
