The flooding zone during high water in North Ossetia may reach 24 settlements with populations of more than 3000 people.
"The flood season in North Ossetia is possible from June to August. The cause may be a large amount of precipitation and deglaciation in the mountainous part of the republic," the local department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations stated.
