EPAM Systems Inc. is pulling out of Russia, citing the country's invasion of Ukraine.
The technology company, which had previously said it was discontinuing service to customers in Russia, on Thursday said it had began the process of exiting operations in that country.
The company said the business withdrawal would be completed in phases over the next three months, in collaboration with employees, contractors and customers.
A significant number of employees have already relocated, according to the company, with more expected to follow suit.
EPAM is also hiring in other places in Europe, Central Asia, India and Latin America to diversify geographically its global network.
The company said it expects to continue operating in Belarus, while also progressing with Belarus specific business continuity plans.
