EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar arrived in Baku for a series of high-level meetings with Azerbaijan's leadership.
"Back in Baku. Look forward to substantive meetings with the Azerbaijani leadership to advance peace process after meetings in Munich," Toivo Klaar wrote on Twitter.
He also commented on the attack staged by Armenian forces against Azerbaijani military in Karabakh, referring to it as "the deadly incident", which underscores the urgency of pushing forward with negotiations to achieve stability and a fair peace.
Toivo Klaar's last visit to Baku was held on November 25, 2022, when he was received by President Ilham Aliyev. Klaar visited Yerevan three times during this period: on December 8, then on January 23, and on February 24.
