The EU had launched a mission to monitor the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, EU diplomat Josep Borrell told reporters in Brussels before the start of the European summit.
"Today, the deployment of this mission has begun", RIA Novosti quoted him.
The diplomat added that he had plans to inform the European leaders about the decision related to this mission, adopted at the meeting of EU foreign ministers on Monday.
