The European Union would be happy if Moldova joined the anti-Russian sanctions. Still, it will not put pressure upon Chisinau, the head of the EU mission in Chisinau, Janis Mazeiks said.
"There is no clear requirement, but we will be glad to see that the Republic of Moldova will be able to join some sanctions. Madam President (Maia Sandu) mentioned that, for example, in finance, these sanctions are observed," the European official said.
Brussels expects a gradual rapprochement of the EU candidate countries' foreign policies with the European Union's foreign policy, Mazejks stressed.
