EU releases video with requirements for countries seeking visa free regime

Yesterday the European External Political Service announced ‘strict conditions’ for the states that seek a visa-free regime with the European Union. The corresponding video contains the followings requirements: these countries should issue data readable biometric passports in accordance with the EU standards, maintain appropriate border controls to prevent illegal immigration, provide international protection to those who need it (refugees) in accordance with the EU standards; cooperate with law enforcement and judicial authorities of the EU in order to combat smuggling, kidnapping and terrorism financing, as well as receive deported illegal immigrants, Sputnik Georgia reports.
