Baku hosted an information meeting with representatives of the departments of the central state authority of Azerbaijan regarding the announced project proposals contest for receiving grants in the framework of the Azerbaijan-Georgia Program of Territorial Cooperation.
As the EU representative office in Azerbaijan reported, the purpose of the information session was to provide detailed information on specific aspects, selection criteria, the timeframe of evaluation of projects and the technical features of the competition.
The head of the program assistance EaPTC, Alexey Sekarev, informed that the program of territorial cooperation of the countries of the Eastern Partnership (EaPTC) is aimed at promoting and strengthening cross-border cooperation between regional and local authorities, communities and civic society organizations, through the development of joint solutions to common problems of the social and economic development of the border regions participating in it. The EU is allocating 1.35 million euros for territorial cooperation between the border regions of Azerbaijan and Georgia, abc.az reports.
