EU wants to extend sanctions and continue cooperation with Russia

Today after the last meeting this year of the EU Council at the level of Foreign Ministers, the head of European diplomacy Federica Mogherini said that the European Union is going to extend economic sanctions against Russia and at the same time it intends to continue to interact with Russia, noting that the sanctions don’t prevent this.

According to her, this issue was not on the agenda of today's meeting, and a political decision to extend sanctions is about to be taken at the EU summit on December 17-18th, Tass reports.
