An earthquake was recorded on the Azerbaijan-Iran border, the Republican Seismic Survey Center under the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan reports.
The earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1 occurred at night. The epicenter was located on Iranian territory, while its hypocenter was at a depth of 26 km.
The tremors were not felt on the surface.
