An earthquake hit the border between Iran and Iraq. The magnitude of the seismic event was 5,1.

According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the epicenter of the tremors was located southwest of the Iranian city of Sanandaj with a population of 349 thousand people. The hypocenter was located at a depth of ten kilometers.

There are no reports of casualties or damage.
