According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, earthquake tremors with a magnitude of 4.2 have been recorded near the coast.
The epicenter of the tremors was located about 26 kilometers southwest of Istanbul. The center was located at a depth of 8 km, Tass reports.
Information about damages and casualties is being determined.
