Officials of the Russian Embassy in Cairo, the Emergencies Ministry and Rostourism have been sent to the Egyptian airports of Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh to assist Russian tourists, the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.
"To assist Russian tourists departing home, joint working groups of officials of the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Cairo, the Russian Emergencies Ministry and Rostourism were sent to the Egyptian airports of Hurghada and Sharm al-Sheikh," TASS cited the report.
647 people have been flown from Egypt to St Petersburg in the last 24 hours.
