A meeting with the participation of the Emir of Qatar, Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, took place today at the Federation Council, Vestnik Kavkaza cites the press service of the upper house of the Russian parliament.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Deputy Chairman Ilyas Umakhanov, chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security Viktor Ozerov, a member of the Federation Council of the Republic of Ingushetia, a member of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Ahmet Palankoev and others.
During the meeting Valentina Matviyenko introduced Ahmet Palankoev, a coordinator of the Group of cooperation with the Advisory Council of the Federation Council to the Emir. Ahmet Palankoev expressed hope for further cooperation with the Advisory Council of Qatar.
"On behalf of the people of Ingushetia and all Muslims of Russia, I want to thank you for your decision to assist in financing the construction of the complex in Magas, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Ingushetia," Ahmet Palankoev said at the beginning of his address to Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
