Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Moscow and Ankara, maintaining close relations in many areas, have made great progress in the Syrian settlement and prevented a humanitarian tragedy in Idlib.
He also recalled that the Turkish Stream gas pipeline will be build before the end of this year, through which Russian gas will flow to Europe.
"Together with Russia, we have made significant progress in Syria and prevented a big tragedy in Idlib," Erdogan said at the conference of Turkish ambassadors in Ankara.
He added that the process of forming a constitutional committee in Syria is close to completion, RIA Novosti reports.
