Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Wednesday met with U.S. President Donald Trump's senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, Daily Sabah reports.
The closed-door meeting, which lasted about two hours, included Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak.
They discussed regional issues and the U.S. plan for peace in the Middle East.
Albayrak and Kushner held a separate meeting afterward to discuss economic relations.
"In a head-to-head meeting with Mr. Kushner, we discussed steps to increase economic cooperation between our countries," Albayrak wrote on Twitter following the meeting.
