Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has invited his supporters to “give a lesson to the West” on the June 24 elections.
"The West is waiting for the June 24 elections. A defeat of Erdogan. Are you ready to give a lesson to the West? I believe you will give this lesson," RIA Novosti cited him as saying,
Six candidates will run for the presidency in Turkey: Recep Tayyip Erdogan (nominated by the Nationalist Movement Party and ruling Justice and Development Party), Muharrem Ince (Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party), Meral Aksener (the opposition IYI Party), Selahattin Demirtas (the opposition People's Democratic Party), Temel Karamollaoglu (the opposition Felicity (Saadet) Party) and Dogu Perincek (Vatan Party).
