According to Turkish media, the closed-door talks between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas took place in Ankara.
The leaders posed for a traditional joint photograph in front of their national flags before proceeding to private negotiations.
Earlier reports indicated that the discussions would address recent developments in the Gaza Strip and Israel, as well as the situation involving Palestinian delegates unable to attend the UN General Assembly due to visa denials by US authorities.
