Erdogan and Trump agree cooperation against coronavirus

U.S. President Donald Trump and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed in a phone call to work together to counter the threat posed by the coronavirus outbreak, Turkey’s presidency said.

The two leaders "agreed to continue their close cooperation against the threats that the coronavirus pandemic poses to public health and our economies," Reuters cited the statement as saying. This would be a “necessity of the spirit of solidarity required by being NATO allies,” the message said.

Erdogan and Trump also discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.
