First Vice-President of the European Commission Franz Timmermans said today that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan would like to be invited to a meeting of leaders of the EU member states in order to discuss migration issues.
"The Commission and I personally will continue to work together with Turkey in order to implement the Action Plan. You can ask Donald Tusk about plans of the European Council. I know that President Erdogan would like to receive an invitation. It was clear when we discussed it in Ankara,’’ he stressed.
