“I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to Your Excellency and to the entire Azerbaijani people on the national holiday of Azerbaijan - Republic Day,” the Turkish president said in the congratulatory letter.
Erdogan noted that Azerbaijan's great achievements in all areas and growing international reputation are a source of pride for Turkey.
“It is a great pleasure for us to see your country as one of the leading nations in the region in the year 2018, which is of particular importance as it marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. Thanks to your far-sighted leadership, we are convinced that Azerbaijan will continue to build on these achievements,” the Turkish leader said.
“I would like to stress once again that we are determined to further strengthen our relations, which have already reached a strategic level. Taking this opportunity, I wish you robust health and happiness, and the friendly and brotherly people of Azerbaijan peace and prosperity,” Erdogan added.
