Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hold a a face-to-face meeting with German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel in the presidential palace.
Today, Gabriel also held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, after which it was announced that a German parliamentary delegation could not visit the Incirlik air base. Turkey's Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, in turn, cancelled a planned meeting with Gabriel, citing a busy schedule.
Turkey accuses Germany of refusing to extradite supporters of Fethullah Gulen, which Ankara accuses of masterminding last year's failed coup against Erdogan.
