Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan believes that his upcoming visit to Germany will contribute positively to development of bilateral relations.
"We will discuss bilateral relations with Germany in all areas, including political, military, economic and trade," he said. "The fight against terrorism will also be one of the issues," Daily Sabah cited the Turkish president as saying. He added that Berlin, similar to Ankara, takes the fight against terrorism seriously.
"I hope that the visit to Germany after a long time will contribute positively to the period ahead. I am hopeful. I felt this also during phone talks, be it with the German president or be it with the chancellor," Erdogan stressed.
He also said that Turkey's Finance and Treasury Minister Berat Albayrak will also hold a meeting with his German counterpart and that meetings between the Turkish delegation and German companies will also be held as part of the agenda of the visit. Erdogan added that during the visit, activities of the PKK terrorist group and the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) in Germany will also be discussed.
