In recent weeks, the Turkish Army has destroyed about 2000 militants from the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
He also stressed that the military operations against the PKK militants would be intensified after the attack in Turkey's southeastern Hakkari Province, RIA Novosti reports.
