Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan threatened to recognize mass killings of Native Americans during the colonial period as genocide after the resolution was passed in the U.S. Senate on Armenian allegations over the events of 1915.
"We should oppose you by reciprocating such decisions in parliament. And that is what we will do. Can we speak about America without mentioning Indians?" Erdogan told A Haber news channel, stressing that it is a shameful moment in the U.S. history.
