Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited the joint operation center of the Turkish Land Forces Command in the southeastern province of Sanliurfa near the Syrian border yesterday.
During the visit he was briefed about the ongoing operation, the presidency said on its Twitter account.
Erdogan was accompanied by Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, Chief of General Staff Gen. Yasar Guler, intelligence chief Hakan Fidan, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, Sanliurfa Governor Abdullah Erim, and senior members of his ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party, Anadolu Agency reported.
