Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting opens in Yerevan

The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in a narrow format is being held in Yerevan. 

Prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union member countries (Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan) have arrived in the event venue in the capital city of Armenia.

The Council meeting in an extended format will take place soon thereafter, News.am reported.

They are expected to discuss the formation of the common markets of natural gas, oil and oil products, and a set of measures to counteract the illegal turnover of goods in the customs territory of the EEU. Participants of the session will also discuss the action plan to get rid of exemptions and restrictions on the movement of commodities, services, capital, and workforce in 2018-2019.
