The euro fell by 3.07 rubles to 77.08 rubles on the Moscow Exchange on Monday.
As of 14:00 Moscow time, the euro fell to 76.99 rubles. The last time the euro exchange rate was below the level of 77 rubles was in June 2020.
The dollar exchange rate as of 12:18 Moscow time fell to 72.97 rubles (down by 2.48 rubles).
Brent crude was down $5.19, or 4.9%, at $101.46 a barrel by 11:45 GMT and touched $101.20 earlier in the session, its lowest since April 12.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell $4.61, or 4.5%, to $97.46.
