The 11th European Championships in Aerobic Gymnastics has opened at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.
During three-day championships, senior and junior gymnasts will compete in the programs of 'Individual Women', 'Individual Men', 'Mixed Pairs', 'Trios', 'Groups', as well as 'Aerobic Dance', 'Aerobic Step' (only seniors). According to the rules, a participant may compete in maximum three Aerobic categories.
In the team competition, the winners will be defined for the five best performances. In total, the gymnasts will compete for 15 medal sets.
The qualifications among juniors - an individual program an individual program among women, trios, and aerobic dance (11:00 Moscow time), among men, mixed pairs and groups (15:30 Moscow time) will be held on the first day of the European Championships on May 24. The opening ceremony starts at 15.00 Moscow time. The winners in the team competition among juniors will be determined at 17:45 Moscow time.
The qualifications among senior gymnasts - an individual program among women, trios, and aerobic dance (11:00 Moscow time), among men, mixed pairs and groups (15:00 Moscow time) will be held on the second day on May 25. The winners in the team standings among senior gymnasts will be named at 17:30 Moscow time.
The finals among juniors (09:00, 10:40 Moscow time) and senior gymnasts (13:45, 15:35 Moscow time) will be held on the final day of the competition on May 26. Strongest gymnasts will be awarded at the award ceremony at 12:15, 15:20, 16:55 Moscow time.
The championships will bring together gymnasts from 22 countries. Azerbaijan will be represented by seniors Elchin Mammadov, Madina Mustafayeva, Aykhan Ahmadli, Balakhanim Ahmadova, Vladimir Dolmatov, Emil Guliyev, Khoshgadam Guliyeva, Narmina Huseynova, Imran Imranov,Nigar Ibrahimbayli. Akif Karimli, as well as juniors Aysel Aslanzade, Khadija Guliyeva, Lala Guliyeva, Fatima Gurbanova, Emiliya Mahmudova and Eleonora Yusifova.
