David Bakradze was nominated as a presidential candidate in the upcoming elections by the opposition party ‘European Georgia’.
‘European Georgia’ is a party created by the leaders who left ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili’s United National Movement party. During Saakashvili’s presidency, Bakradze was the speaker of the parliament, and also participated in the parliamentary and presidential elections. "The country needs a president who will solve the problems and give the people hope for tomorrow," party leader Gigi Ugulava said during the presentation, RIA Novosti reports.
