Today, the European Parliament supported the EU decision to completely phase out Russian gas by late 2027.
According to the results of the voting, the EP supported the EU plan to completely phase out Russian gas by the end of 2027.
Half a thousand MEPs voted in favor of the bill, while 120 voted against. Another 32 abstained.
The plan envisions ban on both pipeline and liquefied natural gas.
Earlier, European Commissioner for Energy Dan Jørgensen warned of the European Commission's plans to completely ban Russian oil and nuclear fuel for EU countries. This could be achieved through separate documents.
