The President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, will visit Ankara on September 1. He will hold talks with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss the relations between the European Union and Turkey.
Currently, the EU delegation in Ankara is discussing the process of abolishing visas for citizens of Turkey and the country's accession to the EU, RIA Novosti reminds.
The spokesperson of the European Commission Natasha Bertaud said that the report of the Commission on the progress in the implementation of the visa liberalization plan will be published in September.
