The European Union and Turkey have opened a new chapter in Ankara’s bid to join the community, the Foreign Minister of the Presidency of the EU Council of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, said today at a press conference in Brussels.
"Today we are opening a new chapter in the negotiations for membership, the 17th chapter on the economy,’’ Tass reports.
The new chapter in the negotiations on Turkey's membership of the EU doesn’t open the doors of the eurozone to Ankara, Asselborn said.
